Swiss winemaker Renaud Burnier founded Domaine Burnier in 2003 near the village of Natukhayevskaya in the northern end of the Novorossiysk district, about 20 kilometers east of Anapa.
Renaud and his wife Marina now have 49 hectares of vineyards planted on southwest facing exposure with imported vines that include Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc. Domaine Burnier also produces the Russian grape Krasnostop. White grapes are planted in the marl rich soils of the hillsides, and red grapes in the rich soils of lower areas.
Burnier currently produces four wines:
- Burnier Blanc, a blend from Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Muscat.
- Burnier Merlot
- Burnier Cabernet Sauvignon
- Burnier Krasnostop
