Myskhako Winery was a favorite of Soviet President Leonid Brezhnev, who fought in the Battle of Novorossiysk during the Second World War. Myskhako’s cellars were used as a field hospital and bunker for his unit. When he became President, the Poliburo were regular visitors and had their own tasting table.
For the past few years, fly-in Australian winemaker John Worontschak has helped Myskhako improve their wines including Myskhako’s crisp, white Aligote and Chardonnay wines.
