Fanagoria starts exporting to Finland and Latvia (Translation)
At the end of January, Fanagoria exported their first batch of wine to Finland and Latvia.A Finnish importer, which distributes to both the state monopoly and local restaurants, was sent the white wine “Avtokhton Sibirkovy” (100% indigenous grape variety Sibirkovy), and the red wine 100 Shades of Red Tsimlyansky Black (also an indigenous variety).
This delivery was the result of the presentation of Kuban wines held at the Russian Embassy in Finland together with the Krasnodar Territory Development Corporation NJSC in early March last year, just before the border closure.
The presentation was attended by representatives of the state alcohol monopoly, importers and owners of restaurants that sell imported wines.
As expected, special interest was aroused by wines from autochthonous (indigenous) grape varieties. These were the wines that the Finnish partner ultimately chose.
A special assortment of 1062 bottles was shipped to Latvia including Fanagoria ice wines (Ice Wine Riesling, Ice Wine Cabernet), late harvest wines from the Velvet Season series (white Muscat and Riesling, red Cabernet and Saperavi), five-year-old Russian Oak cognac and Muscat Chacha (brandy).
